Where We Are Now

We’re Going to See a House

We have a showing scheduled. Before we walk in, there are a few things I want you to know so we can use the time in the house well.

Assume somebody can hear us

Many homes have doorbell cameras, security cameras, or other devices. We can talk freely about what you like and don’t like, but we’ll save conversations about what you might offer or how much you’d be willing to pay until we’re outside.

Look past the easy stuff

Paint, fixtures, and furniture can change. Location, lot, basic layout, and the size of the house are much harder to change. We’re trying to figure out whether the house itself works for you.

This isn’t the home inspection

If we notice something that deserves a closer look, we’ll make note of it. If you buy the house with the appropriate inspection contingency, the inspector gets to do the inspecting.

Paperwork Progress

At this point, we should have:

Completed
Consumer Notice
Buyer Agency Agreement
Preapproval or proof of funds
